
What is the YPP
NIB’s Young Professional Program (YPP) is a 2-year initiative designed for recent university graduates. Participants work in Associate-level roles within key business units including Lending, Treasury & Finance, Sustainability & Mandate, and Risk & Compliance, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to NIB’s mission of sustainable development.
The programme offers internal job rotations, mentoring, and professional development opportunities, empowering young professionals to grow while actively contributing to NIB’s mission of sustainable finance.

What You’ll experience
- Working in an international financial institution (IFI) and contributing to impactful projects aligned with NIB’s sustainable finance agenda
- Work in key areas: Lending, Treasury & Finance, Sustainability & Mandate, Risk & Compliance
- Opportunities for internal Job Rotations: Broaden your perspective and expertise by working in multiple departments during the program
- Develop as an expert, having increased access to future career opportunities within global IFI community

Who can apply?
- You have a Bachelor’s/Master’s University degree
- You are a recent graduate
- You are a national of one of our member countries (Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, or Sweden)
- You have less than two years of post-academic work experience
- You have solid track record of demonstrating commitment to learning throughout university studies
- Your personal qualities match our corporate culture: open mind, flexibility, good interpersonal and organisational skills, and curiosity to learn
- Written and spoken proficiency in English language

Recruitment timeline
Applications open in March 2025, recruitment process continues April-May. Young professionals start working at NIB in September 2025. More information will be published on this page in the following months.
