NIB continues to fund environmental projects, SMEs and SMCs in Denmark

NIB and Danish Ringkjøbing Landbobank AS (RLB) have agreed on a new ten-year DKK 500 million (EUR 67.1 million) loan programme for on-lending to environmental projects, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and smaller mid-caps (SMCs) in Denmark.

A substantial part of the loan is expected to be allocated to renewable energy projects.

NIB and RLB have been cooperating in financing of smaller companies and environmental projects in Denmark since 1999. Loans have been used for on-lending to environmental projects, which require longer loan maturities, as well as to on-lending to smaller companies.

Established in 1886, Ringkjøbing Landbobank is a Danish regional and niche bank with branches in central, western and northern Jutland, Copenhagen and Aarhus.

NIB is an international financial institution owned by eight member countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden. The Bank finances private and public projects in and outside the member countries. NIB has the highest possible credit rating, AAA/Aaa, with the leading rating agencies Standard & Poor’s and Moody’s. www.nib.int
