Environmental investment in the Kola Peninsula Final agreement on financing of smelter modernisation

NIB is contributing a credit of USD 30 million. The Norwegian Government is providing a grant of NOK 270 million. The Swedish Government provides additional assistance totalling USD 3 million. The total investment cost is estimated at approximately USD 93.5 million, and project implementation is planned to begin immediately. NIB was engaged by Norilsk Nickel in 1997 as financial and technical adviser to the project.
