Fulfilment of NIB's mandate
Competitiveness:
The construction of the five LEED-certified premises in Poland will support Skanska’s strategy to maintain its position as a global leader in energy-efficient buildings. Investments in sustainable business practice in premium locations like Warsaw and Wrocław is expected to generate high reference value and a competitive advantage for Skanska, and prepare for expansion into less mature markets.
Environment:
The project is assessed to promote sustainable building practice, providing clients and tenants with resource-efficient options in LEED Platinum-certified facilities. As the housing and building sector accounts for approximately 40% of energy use in the EU, sustainable construction practice is expected to lower overall energy consumption.
Sustainability summary
No significant negative environmental impact is expected to occur during construction.
