Project
The loan programme has been provided for financing environmental projects and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Prior the new facility, since 1999, NIB has granted fourteen loan facilities placed with Ringkjøbing Landbobank for Danish SMEs and renewable energy projects, with a total disbursed amount of EUR 215 million. Ringkjøbing Landbobank, established in 1886, is a full-service regional bank that ranks among the ten largest banking groups in Denmark in terms of total assets.
Fulfilment of NIB's mandate
Improved access to financing is expected to support productivity growth in SMEs. A part of the loan programme’s funds may be used in renewable energy production.
