Project
The general loan programme totalling USD 20 million is aimed at financing small and medium-sized enterprises’ projects involving NIB member country companies in Brazil. Projects in telecommunications, pulp and paper production as well as infrastructure development are a priority. Banco Itaú BBA started operations in 2003. Today it is the largest wholesale bank in Brazil.
Sustainability summary
Banco Itaú BBA’s environmental procedures are regarded as satisfactory. Banco Itaú Holding is a signatory to the Equator Principles as well as the only Latin American bank that has remained in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index since its creation. It is also a member of the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development and the United Nations Environment Programme-Finance Initiative.
