The scope of the wastewater network upgrade includes replacing pipes, increasing automation and control, repair works at the main sewage pumping station and renewing equipment at major pumping stations. The company will also implement improvements at the sludge treatment facilities.
The reconstruction of the fresh water distribution network includes replacing pipes and improving water supply to the water purification station.
AS Tallinna Vesi is the water utility of Tallinn. The company was privatised in 2001, and United Utilities (Tallinn) BV is its largest shareholder. The company owns the water and wastewater treatment plants as well as the supply and sewerage networks.
